DJORDJE’s Debut Music Video Premiere

Today, on March 25th we celebrate Johnny Burnette’s 89th birthday and the release of a music video by DJORDJE.

It’s not a surprise that the music video for the song HURTLESS has been released on this day, since it features hypnotizing Grady Martin/Bob Moore groove that made a staple in Johnny Burnette’s songs. DJORDJE is definitely not a new name on the rockabilly scene, considering he’s been a member of Tiger Army for almost a decade and a member of the HeadCat with Lemmy (Motorhead), Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) and Danny B. Harvey (Rockats), but he is a new name as a featured artist. Besides being touted as the best slap bass player, DJORDJE’s rockabilly creds go even further since he toured/recorded with Scotty Moore band, DJ Fontana, Wanda Jackson, Dale Hawkins, Joe Clay, Deke Dickerson and many others.
The song HURTLESS is the very first single from his upcoming full length album BULLFIDDLECAT. For this solo adventure DJORDJE gathered guitar virtuoso Paul Pigat (Cousin Harley) and his Atomic Sunset bandmate Aleksandar Petrovic on drums. We can also hear Dusty Grave from Stellar Corpses on guest vocals. The project has been engineered by Rene De La Muerte. The music video features Djordje Stijepovic and gorgeous model/dancer Smirczilla.
Happy heavenly birthday Johnny Burnette and happy listening to DJORDJE’s debut single HURTLESS!
