Juanita / Truckstop Cafe Queen

Pee Wee and the Specials came from the Netherland and formed in 1978; They released one album and a couple of singles.

Juanita on side A is a cover of the Crests. They kept the doo-wop vibe but the song is slightly sped-up compared to the original and with a little rock edge.

Truckstop Cafe Queen is an original song penned by singer/pianist/arranger Jakob Klaasse. It’s a solid rock’n’roll song in the same vein than Dave Edmunds’ I Knew the bride (when she used to Rock’n’roll.)
