Johnny Key with the Kool Kats – Fallin’ for you
ALL 101 [1978]
Fallin’ for you / Hillbilly Music
Fallin’ For You is a no-nonsense rockabilly with a strong rural flair, which would have been perfectly at home on the Meteor label twenty years earlier. As its title suggests, Hillbilly Music (With A Rocking Beat) is pure hillbilly joy, with banjo, percussion, harmonica, festive shouts, all topped off with a superb guitar solo. Years later, Kitty Daisy & Lewis covered this song on their debut album.

Keep My Big Wheels Turnin’/ Make You Realise
Terry Earl wrote Keep My Big Wheels Turnin’, a solid rockabilly number with a strong hillbilly flavor reinforced by the banjo in the background.
Pete Pritchard penned the flipside. It’s a mid-paced melancholic country tune, with a boom-chicka-boom rhythm akin to Johnny Cash recordings.
